This role will provide you with the opportunity to utilise your skills in the area of Children and Youth services to lead and manage the staff and programs of the Children and Youth Services team ensuring they are proactive in meeting the needs of young people, are well promoted, effective and efficient.

What You’ll Be Working On
This is a leadership role where you will drive meaningful outcomes for children, young people and families across the Mosman community. You will lead a passionate team to plan, deliver and evaluate high-quality services and programs, including operating a vibrant Youth Centre and community Playgroup. Your work will span strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, community development, and the delivery of inclusive programs and events such as Youth Week and the Children’s Fair. You will also play a lead role in ensuring Council’s commitment to being a child safe organisation, while building collaborative partnerships across the region to enhance impact and innovation in service delivery.
What You’ll Bring to the Role
To be successful in this role, you will bring significant experience in leading children and youth-focused programs and teams, with a strong understanding of social impact, community development, and strategic service delivery.
With tertiary qualifications in Early Childhood Education, Youth Work, Community Development, Social Sciences or a related field, you will demonstrate a deep commitment to child safety and safeguarding standards. Your proven ability to engage diverse stakeholders, lead teams with clarity and vision, and deliver measurable outcomes will be key to your success in this role.
The position is identified as a Child-Related position under the Commission of Children and Young People Act 1998, and the successful candidate is required to hold a valid Working with Children Check, either possess or be willing to obtain a current First Aid Certificate and undertake a National Police Check through the Council.
