- Total package from $110,534 to $134,633 pa including super plus travel support, 35 hours per week

This new role will provide you with the opportunity to utilise your skills in the area of strategic communications and community engagement to provide expert advice, hands-on support, and leadership in delivering high-quality engagement initiatives, strengthening community relationships, and contributing to council-wide communications and marketing efforts.

What You’ll Be Working On
You will lead delivery of key projects that support the development and implementation of strategic community engagement initiatives, ensuring alignment with International Association for Public Participation (IAP2) best practices and implementing Council’s new Community Engagement Strategy.
You will lead end-to-end engagement activities, from planning through to evaluation, while working closely with internal teams to build capability and consistency in how Council connects with the community. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is seeking to make a tangible impact by shaping how Council engages with diverse stakeholders on high-profile and community-driven projects. What You’ll Bring to the Role
To be successful in this role, you will bring significant experience in delivering high-quality communications and stakeholder engagement strategies, ideally within a complex or community-focused environment. With tertiary qualifications in communications, public relations or a related field, you will have demonstrated expertise in planning and executing end-to-end engagement projects and developing effective communication materials across various platforms. Professional certification in engagement practices such as IAP2, and the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders, will be highly regarded.
