This role will provide you with the opportunity to utilise your skills in the area of food services to provide assistance with packing and distribution of meals for delivery to clients.

What You’ll Be Working On
This is a perfect opportunity for someone with excellent customer service, interpersonal skills and a strong commitment to working with volunteers.
You will assist the Food Services Coordinator with efficient operations of Mosman Meals, in particular with packing and distribution of individually packaged meals for delivery to clients. You will ensure that kitchen hygiene and food safety standards are maintained at the highest level and in accordance with current food safety guidelines and regulations.
You will also support the Mosman Meals kitchen volunteers as well as assist the Food Services Coordinator with office duties including answering phone enquiries, taking referrals and keeping records up to date.
The position will be working 24 hours per week on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 8.30am-1pm, on Thursdays from 8.30am-1.30pm, and on Fridays from 8.30am-2pm.
What You’ll Bring to the Role
To be successful in this role, you will have an understanding of the needs and commitment to assisting older people and people with disability. You will bring excellent interpersonal and communication skills along with a demonstrated commitment to quality customer service.
Knowledge of and some experience in safe food handling practices, kitchen hygiene and stock control as well as experience working with volunteers will be highly regarded.
Please note, this position is subject to a National Police Check undertaken by Council in addition to Council’s standard pre-employment checks.
