This role will provide you with the opportunity to utilise your skills in the area of Community Services o various segments of our community, including older residents, individuals with disabilities, their caregivers, youth and families.

What You’ll Be Working On
- Supporting the day-to-day delivery of Council’s Community Services programs, helping to ensure services and activities run smoothly and feel welcoming for community members.
- Working alongside staff and volunteers across different service areas to provide a positive, respectful and professional experience.
- Engaging with community members in a friendly and supportive way, responding to enquiries and assisting where needed.
- Assisting with the planning and delivery of community programs and events, including seniors activities, youth workshops and playgroup sessions.
- Contributing to inclusive, well-organised programs that support connection, participation and wellbeing across the community.
What You’ll Bring to the Role
- Qualification in a field relevant to Community Services such as Cert 3 in a human services, for example early childhood education, youth work, or community work and/or relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering quality customer service in person, by telephone and email.
- Strong interpersonal skills, high adaptability, and the ability to work effectively across various service areas to contribute to the well-being of our diverse community.
In addition to the above, you will also hold a valid C Class Driver’s Licence.
The position is identified as a Child-Related position under the Commission of Children and Young People Act 1998 and the successful candidate is required to hold a valid Working With Children Check.
This position is subject to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check undertaken by Council.
