This role will provide you with the opportunity to utilise your skills in the area of Children’s Services to support the facilitation of high quality programs in particular playgroups and events in accordance with relevant legislative and regulatory requirements.

What You’ll Be Working On
- Supporting the delivery of Council’s children’s programs, helping to ensure activities are safe, well organised and enjoyable
- Working closely with the team to assist with planning, set-up, delivery and review of programs and activities
- Engaging respectfully with carers, responding to enquiries and sharing information, support or referrals as needed
- Assisting the Community Development Officer (Children and Families) to promote programs and activities through day-to-day communication and support
- Following confidentiality, child safe and professional practice requirements at all times
What You’ll Bring to the Role
You will bring tertiary qualifications in early Childhood Education (minimum Certificate 3 in Early Childhood ) or related field.
You will have demonstrated experience working with children and families in a professional context, with the ability to establish positive rapport with children, young people, and their families.
In addition to the above, you will also hold a current first aid certificate and asthma and anaphylaxis certification.
The position is identified as a Child-Related position under the Commission of Children and Young People Act 1998 and the successful candidate is required to hold a valid Working With Children Check.
