    • Salary for 8 hours per week from $14,921 to $19,279 pa plus 12% superannuation, plus travel support

This role will provide you with the opportunity to utilise your skills in the area of Food Services to provide efficient operation of Mosman Council’s in-house meal service for seniors and assisting in Mosman Meals.

What You’ll Be Working On  

Coordinate and manage the in-house meal service, including menu planning, food preparation and service, supplier liaison, stock control, bookings, budgets and kitchen operations, ensuring compliance with Food Safety and Work Health and Safety requirements.

Deliver a welcoming and responsive service to clients, including managing bookings and client information, accommodating dietary and cultural requirements, supporting Mosman Meals, and planning engaging themed lunches, activities and community events.

Coordinate and support volunteers and service administration, including training and supervising volunteers, maintaining client records and service statistics, processing invoices, supporting marketing initiatives and service targets, and assisting with tendering and other Community Care Services activities.

 

What You’ll Bring to the Role 

To be successful in this role, you will have

  • A minimum of two years’ relevant experience or tertiary qualifications in Food Service/Catering Operations, including demonstrated knowledge of safe food handling practices and Work Health and Safety requirements.
  • You will demonstrated experience working with older people, an understanding of their nutritional and wellbeing needs, and experience coordinating, supporting and training volunteers.
  • Knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications and data management will be highly regarded.  

This position is subject to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check undertaken by Council.
